Category: Something to Eat - Simple, Nourishing and Delicious!
There has been quite a buzz about chia seeds and I have never really bought into the whole thing but after making this gorgeous, simple jam I have to join the chia seed party - I'm well and truly hooked. I decided to make something as a healthy alternative to traditional jam after my boys tried some jam in a cafe and kept asking me for it! I figured there had to be a way to make it that was nutrient rich and without any sugar.
This is a brilliant simple recipe to make and leave in your fridge to have on crackers, toast or just straight off the spoon! Jam does not have to contain refined sugars and although this does contain maple syrup it is a slow release sweetener that retains all the vitamins and minerals making it a brilliant alternative to traditional jam.
I hope you enjoy it!
