Category: Something to Eat Chocolate for Breakfast? Yes please!
So we don't have toast very often but if we have a beautiful bread from our local market or even a bread we have made ourselves it is quite a treat to have Chocolate Breakfast Spread!
So simple you need never reach for store bought chocolate spread again full of hydrogenated oils and additives.
This one is delish and we love it.
Ingredients
- 1 big cup organic hazelnuts
- 2 tbs MAGIC SPRINKLES
- 10 medjool dates (I have also used roughly 8 figs and it was yummy!)
- 3 tbs organic coconut sugar
- 3 tbs organic raw cacao powder (not to be confused with cocoa powder - spelt similarly but very different)
- 2 tbs melted coconut oil (or organic butter)
- 1/2 tsp organic vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup organic coconut milk/cream (If i buy a tin of cream I use the cream from top and a bit of the milk too but you can use either)
- pinch of salt
Directions
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees celcius
- Place hazelnuts on a tray and roast for 8 minutes
- Grind them in food processor until smooth
- Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth
- Place in glass jar in fridge and enjoy!
Extra Tips: Use as a chocolate veggie dip - my boys love to dip carrots and cucumbers in!
