Nourish Me ‘see you in the morning’ Breaky

Difficulty: Beginner

Category:  - Sweet, nourishing and delicious - breakfast is served!

Yields: 2 Servings
Prep Time: 5 mins

I read a book recently that said 50% of all children's tantrums and bad behaviour comes from them feeling rushed and hurried.

It makes perfect sense. Meal times can often be tricky for us and seem to bring out everyone's worst. I'm not sure if it's because we are all hungry or we are rushing to eat but the times when we slow down with the urgency of it all are the times is seems to work best in our home.

The times I am rushing to get everyone out the door - everything seems to intensify.

Getting out of the house in the mornings with twin toddlers is sometimes a monumental achievement. Getting the 3 of us dressed and fed sometimes deserves a medal! Sometimes there are tears from someone (occasionally me!) weary with exhaustion of having to do everything twice. I mean EVERYTHING.

Sometimes preparing food the night before is brilliant. Especially if you get kids to help you so they are looking forward to it the next day.

If you are trying to stay away from feeding your kids breakfast cereals this is a lovely little nourishing breaky on the go. Of course we sometimes have it for snacks too!

If you are making this for the first time - you might want to leave the oats out as they do give it a different texture. We add them in because it becomes a little more sustaining and filling and eat oats most mornings in some capacity.

I really enjoy it and I hope you do as well! Alisa xx
